Dowsons Shoes are pleased to announce the opening of a brand new shop in The Palms Shopping Centre, Cnr Marshland & New Brighton Roads, Shirley, Christchurch.
The Palms is one of the countrys leading retail destinations and we welcome customers to our exciting new location. The newly opened shop replaces our successful New Brighton location which began trading in 1954.

Walking on a Mission of Hope
The director of Wellington's award-winning Kotuku Choir is walking from Cape Reinga to Stewart Island as a voice of hope in an environment of recession and violence - and she's doing it wearing Dowsons Shoes.
Two years ago Sharon Thorburn formed her 'melting-pot' choir which brought together severely at-risk youth, raising their confidence and self esteem through song and world travel.
The three month "Footprints of Hope" walk to raise awareness and highlight issues of at-risk youth will begin on 27th September 2009 at Cape Reinga and finish on December 25th at Stewart Island.
Dowson Shoes are proud to support Sharons effort by supplying sports shoes to her for the journey. In getting behind this worthy effort, you can be sure we'll be with her "every step of the way".

TV Commercial had us Walking on Cloud Nine
Dowsons Shoes newest television commercial for our exceptional Cloudwalker range of womens footwear was quite a departure from some of our previous television advertising.
To highlight the style, elegance and sheer comfort of the Cloudwalker range, we were 'transported' into a relaxing day-spa situation. While our actors were treated to a soothing series of massages, foot spa's and facials, our hard working TV production crew found themselves wishing they were on the 'other side' of the camera.

New Commercial Turns Out a Cracker
Dowsons Shoes television commercial for our Crackerjacks range of childrens shoes kept us on our toes as we followed a group of very energetic youngsters through all sorts of adventures. Our young stars put this great range of footwear through mud, sand and dirt at playgrounds, pools and beaches to prove that when it comes to sturdy, stylish kids footwear - you just cant beat Crackerjacks !
